Welcome to the 2017 Texas Yoga Conference!  The TYC is a Texas Yoga Family Reunion! We are looking forward to seeing each of you in Houston for a peaceful weekend of yoga and music. Bring your friends and family and let’s unite for another year of TYC fun!  

NOTE: Vendors are able to begin set up in the Goswami Academy at 5 p.m. Friday afternoon. Outdoor vendors and Bronze, Silver, Gold etc sponsors can set up anytime in the temple areas.

Jennifer Buergermeister

Jenny is currently the wellness specialist at Menninger Clinic after running wellness businesses in Houston such as Jennyoga Studios/Breathe the Cure for nearly a decade. After graduating in 1999 with honors from the University of Houston with a double degree - B.S. Psychology and B.A Journalism - she later graduated from Sofia University’s Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA, and hold a Masters in Transpersonal Psychology, and was also awarded a Doctor of Divinity Degree from Spiritis in 2005 and completed a one-year program from 2013-2014 at Rice University studying Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership.

Since 1992, she has studied Hatha, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Anusara, Forrest and Ayurveda + South Indian marital arts yoga with Swami Vidyadhishananda Giri, David Williams, Robert Boustany, Jonny Kest, Shiva Rea, John Friend, Ana Forrest and Scott Blossom respectfully.

Jenny also teaches three undergraduate LPAP courses on campus at Rice University, two psychology courses at College of Healthcare Professions, and two online courses in Neurobiology/Psych and Biomechanics for graduate students in design at Boston Architectural College. Previously I taught at Emery Weiner Upper School and consulted HISD for the Sonima Foundation. I also founded in 2009 and still direct the Texas Yoga Conference and Association; and in 2015 helped program and open The Hines Center, a $2.4 Million project in downtown Houston.
